Tap dance is a genre of dance where we can creatively express ourselves. Each class will start with a warm-up, across the floor techniques with progression, & students will be taught how to combine each step for choreography with transitions. Tap dance focuses on musicality, rhythms, percussions, syncopation, and incorporating the many different styles within tap dancing techniques while learning the proper vocabulary of steps. Beginning class will learn drills and basic rhythms & techniques, while Intermediate & Advanced classes will build on those basics while adding much more challenging steps. Tap shoes are required as your feet are your instruments. Tap dancing is a fun and energetic way to increase your musicality, balance, & memory while making a joyful noise unto The Lord.
