Lourdes ‘Lulu’ Ogden
Assistant Director/Jazz and Acrobatics Teacher
Lourdes Lulu Ogden has had the opportunity to teach & choreograph with the ministry of Many but ONE for the past 28 years. She has been teaching dance since 1984. Her dance training began in Miami with instructors Suzanna Prieto of Ballet Etudes, Thomas Armor of Miami Ballet, and several jazz and modern instructors through out the city of Miami. After majoring in Dance and Child Psychology at Miami Dade Community College, she performed with various dance companies in Miami. She was employed by Univision, Channel 23 out of Miami for 2 years during which time she performed and choreographed for their television program, ‘Sabado Gigante’. Her job was to choreograph, not only for their adults, but also for their children’s programs, commercials, competitions and other live adult and children’s performances on the show. She taught regular dance classes and prepared choreography in their Univisions MDA Dance studios under the direction of Maiten Montenegro. During this time, she performed also with Jose Luis Rodriguez, ‘El Puma’, in his dance video.
For 10 years, Lulu taught jazz, acrobatics, ballet & tap under the instruction of Leslie Peaches Jarvis, at Peaches School of Dance in North Miami. It was there where she developed the love and passion for teaching children.
After all these years of training and experience, the most memorable moment for her was giving her life to Christ in June of 1996 at a Many but ONE performance. She has been teaching with Many but ONE ever since, and as a mother of 3, she is so thankful to be serving in such an amazing ministry.
