Alison Davis
Advanced Tap and Contemporary Instructor
Alison Davis teaches all forms of dance but specializes in Tap and Jazz. She started her training at the age of 3 years old and started teaching at the age of 13. Her training includes sixteen years at CSAD and Pro-Am Dance Academy in Pompano Beach where she was extensively involved in competition and touring which included dancing in NYC and Las Vegas. Alison trained under such teachers as Joan Iacino, Kathy Scheich, Charlotte Jensen, Savion Glover and Judi Boudreaux.
Alison danced in The Nutcracker with Miami City Ballet in 1991 and also performed with the touring company, Young Broadway Stars, in 1993 and 1994, which she was Dance Captain in her last year. She has had numerous students graduate to professional dance careers including performing on Broadway in New York City, and dancing with Sesame Street Live. Many former students have also won numerous competitions including “platinum” level awards and “best choreography” awards.
Alison has been training, performing and choreographing with the Calvary Chapel Performing Arts Dance Ministry since 2007 and served as the Director of the Ministry for 2 years. Alison was on staff in the CCA Fine Arts Department from 2010 teaching several genres of dance for middle and high school. She recently left her full time position, but is still involved in choreographing the dance concerts and musicals.
