Amy Shaughnessy
Tap & Jazz Instructor
Amy Shaughnessy was born and raised in Louisiana. Amy is a classically trained dancer and studied ballet, tap, jazz, and modern under her teachers at Dance Arts Studio in Shreveport. She loved all styles of dance, but jazz and tap quickly became her passion. She began student teaching during her time at DAS in Shreveport and then pivoted to teaching full-time at Theatre School of Dance in Bossier City, LA. During her 15 years at TSD, Amy taught tap, jazz, and ballet.
After her husband received a job offer at PBA in West Palm, Amy and her family moved to Florida in 2024, and she found Many but ONE. She is thrilled to be part of the MbO family! Amy continues to sharpen her dance training and teaching by taking weekly ballet classes and traveling to New York City when she can for further training. She is planning to take her first vocational exam with the Royal Academy of Dance in the spring of 2026. Amy and her husband have four boys, and she enjoys decorating their Florida home and blogging about it when she isn’t teaching.
