
Marcela Zia
Ballet Instructor
Marcela Zia is a former professional ballet dancer, teacher, and choreographer from Brazil. She graduated from the Leipzig Opera Ballet School in Germany, where she attended on a full scholarship.
Her professional career includes working with major world-renowned ballet companies,
such as the State Ballet Berlin, where she worked for five years under the direction of Vladimir Malakhov. She performed as a soloist, demi-soloist, and in the corps de ballet, participating in tours across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Her repertoire with the company included choreographic works such as Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, The Nutcracker, and Onegin, as well as pieces by renowned choreographers like William Forsythe, George Balanchine, Nacho Duato, and Uwe Scholz.
Her professional career also features working in other major ballet companies, including two of Brazil’s largest: the São Paulo Dance Company as a classical soloist and the São Paulo City Ballet as a contemporary dancer. She has also been a guest artist with the German Dance Sensation Company and a soloist in various Broadway musical performances throughout Europe.
Marcela is dedicated to sharing her extensive expertise and passion for both classical and contemporary dance with her students.
